Senior Maintenance Mechanic (Day Shift)

Location: Orangeburg, SC

Salary: $27 - $33 per hour

Core Function of the Position

The Senior Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing various maintenance and repair tasks across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. This hands-on role involves diagnosing equipment issues, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring all machinery and infrastructure remain operational and safe. The technician will utilize schematics, tools, and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot and restore functionality across manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive maintenance and repair of production equipment, including mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot high-voltage electrical systems and perform installations and repairs using blueprints, codes, and test equipment.
• Fabricate and weld components as needed to restore or enhance machinery functionality.
• Operate material handling equipment such as overhead cranes, forklifts, and man lifts.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and adhere to safety procedures, policies, and best practices.

Key Requirements

• Minimum of 7–10 years of hands-on experience in a maintenance or technician role within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to resolve equipment issues.
• Training or apprenticeship in a relevant trade, with an understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills; ability to follow directions and work under supervision.
• Willingness to complete specialized training, including safety and compliance (e.g., RCRA), within required timeframes.
