Job Description

Assistant Lease Administrator

This position is responsible for supporting the day-to-day functions of the lease administration team and plays a crucial role in tenant billings and collections. Primary responsibilities include the preparation of certain tenant billings and the collection of delinquent balances by working with our tenant contacts.

The ideal candidate possesses a fundamental knowledge of accounts receivable or cash collections, strong communication skills, an adaptable and resilient mindset, and a willingness to continue learning and growing their skills. This position will report directly to the Director of Lease Administration within the Accounting Team and will collaborate and interface with other departments, including Asset Management and Finance.

What you will do:

  • Drive collection efforts on delinquent lease charges through written and verbal outreach to tenants
  • Research billing issues, present findings, and suggest resolutions
  • Assist with the preparation of real estate tax and insurance calculations and billings
  • Support ad hoc and special projects within Lease Administration or as part of a cross-functional team
  • Research SharePoint data to assist with Lease Administration functions

Who you are:

  • One to two years of business experience required
  • Experience with accounts receivable billing and cash collections preferred
  • Strong written, verbal and inter-personal skills
  • Adaptable and resilient attitude and strong work ethic
  • Aptitude for understanding legal agreements and lease language
  • Ability to work with multiple personnel at any given time
  • Ability to learn new software and platforms for research
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office products
  • Flexible and able to work independently and in a team environment
